So I ran through the portal and we scooped up all the quests we could and got cookin'. Quests... more quests... 59... more quests... more quests... 60! Dropped everything for the most part, ported myself to Moonglade and trained up. I also decided to respec a little early and grab my Tree form and shifted a few points around in my Resto tree to suit my new branches a little better. Then, of course, spiffy new mount. ZOOM!
First thing we did at 60 was Hellfire Ramparts. PTD had asked in /g if anyone wanted to run and of course the both of us were very interested. Then Gharie, a warrior guildie, said he'd go (more on this) and Wind's pally alt (the guild leader), so we had a 5/5 guild group, excellent. It was slow going at first because Gahrie has never tanked before (I think) and also this is his first character so we tried to ease him into it, mostly PTD did, and sort of pointed out some things to him. For example-use your ranged weapon to pull groups, try to get casters to come around corners, etc. He did well for a new player and seemed like a nice guy who was eager to learn.
Also suddenly out of nowhere the boyfriend decided he knew how to chain trap! Personally I think he looked it up but he insisted he didn't so who knows. Anyway let's hope he keeps it up so I can stop complaining in chat. Ha! So it went decent, if slow, until the last boss. I was having real issues keeping up Gahrie, probably because he had to 2h tank, possibly my reaction time also is a little slow sometimes. Anyway after two wipes Wind brought in his 70 hunter alt (Gahrie still died- sorry!) but we took the boss down.
In any case it was nice doing an instance finally all guild, and neat getting to play with someone whose blog I read and get to chat with but had never played with before.
6 days 12 hours to 60, let's see what it is at 70!
