Title a la Fim.
So we got to go to Kara last night and tonight on the fresh Druid, personally I wasn't chomping at the bit to go but I was asked and the boyfriend was asked so heck, why not. Admittedly, the group looked a little precarious (3 resto druids, a laser chicken, 2 hunters, 2 warrior tanks, a holy priest dpsing?! and a mage) so the elitist in me said yeah right, this is never going to work. And yes, we did have some hiccups and some wipes (eventually the priest (Pil) switched to his rogue for about half the fights), occasionally we didn't even have any real rezzes! Well, heck, we have 4 battle rezzes we're fine.
Obviously since this is a new guild they run things differently from what I'm used to, and our group make up wasn't necessarily ideal anyways. Now Fim and Jess already wrote some things about the run last night here and here so I won't reiterate too much. Last night we did Attumen, Moroes, (skipped Maiden, which they seem to do last for some reason) Opera, and Curator (who dropped some nice shoulders for me that I quickly swapped the Honored Aldor enchant on).
Tonight we went in and hit up Aran, Chess, Prince (who decided to give me a ring), Netherspine then back down to Maiden (thanks for the healing mace!). It was decided we didn't have time for Nightbane and I'm not too sure how often they do Illhoof. I expect we wouldn't be going back for just those two bosses. So all in all a pretty decent two nights.
I decided now that I have this healing mace not to really bother with the s2 mace, it's not necessarily worth it. Eventually I might get Prince's mace since I think I'm doing well enough to go on more Kara's with the guild. So I'm going to do one last EotS tonight so I can snap up the s2 healing offhand which will last me until I have the badges for the badge offhand.
Oh, and I got a guild-rank promotion to Raider. Whoo!
BTW: Here's my WWS for the night. The boyfriend ran it so blame him if it's wonky. 63% Lifebloom, 13% Rejuv, 13% Swiftmend- seems about where it should be for a Kara run?

You did great, Awl. It is sometimes fun going with these unconventional groups. Sure, it would be nice to get the perfect set of ppl for these runs but a lot of those that are the right mix either don't want to go, weren't around or REALLY don't need to do Kara any more :)
I'm really not looking for much except badges atm (although the t4 helm would be mighty nice)

Unconventional groups with people who really know what they're doing is always fun! The slaven adherence that some people have to specific group compositions for some instances (can't do Mechanar without a warlock, Shattered Halls is unbearable without a Protection paladin, and so on) is lame.
