PvP for PvE OMG

No I'm not going to get involved in the debate that happened a week ago, I just had a question and I know some of you healer-types read my blog so I'm going to repost here a question I posed in the MEDIA BLACKOUT forums.

I've been working on amassing some honor on my Druid III (even though I'm still only 67, it's not like AV is hard). Originally I had thought I would pick up Merciless Gladiator's Salvation, because I doubt I'll be seeing anything higher than Kara (occasionally at that and probably pugged) and I believe it's better than Shard of the Virtuous and possibly on-par with Light's Justice.

However, I don't plan on grinding out 5 million honor so I'd like to pick out what would be the *best* usage of my honor for the first item to pick up. Yes this is for PvE, but it's not like Guardian's Band of Salvation, for example, is too far off from Anveena's Touch. Also keep in mind I'm not a hardcore arena person and would be unlikely to ever get a team over 1600.

So, in short. I'm not a raider, I will probably do Kara infrequently and I don't arena seriously either. Is Merciless Gladiator's Salvation going to be the best first honor purchase for me (someone who will be mostly doing heroics and seldom Karas)? Any suggestions?

Also I wanted to share an observation I've brought up several times in BA chat: Alliance don't heal. Or they really seem not to, I've been 1-3 in healing done in every single game unless I lagged behind the crowd and got picked off far too many times (which should be less of a problem at 70 with some reputation blues chucked on). And it's brag time somewhat:



A 30 minute turtle at FW and I was #1 healing overall for the game. Durid r overpwrd.
